About

Amy Taylor

I'm Amy Taylor. I have always had a passion for helping people. I considered becoming a substance abuse counselor out of high school, but life took me in another direction at the time.

Fast forward to January 2013, when I was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cervical cancer. Per my oncologist, there were only 19 published cases of it at the time. I then underwent a very aggressive treatment plan. I continue to have a lot of long-term side effects from treatment.  Although the cancer was hard to deal with, the loss of ever having my own biological child was the most devastating part of my diagnosis. That was the hardest year of my life!

After going through the process of fighting for your life, it changes you… You realize what’s important and what’s not. I needed to do something more meaningful and wanted to give back to the organization that saved my life, so I decided to leave the Financial Institution I had worked at for 14 years. As of June 2023, I am 10 years cancer free. It’s been a rewarding and healing experience for me to be able to assist others going through hardships and struggles. To say I’ve overcome a lot, is an understatement… However, I believe we all have a story, and everything happens for a reason. As the experiences we go through shape us and make us into who we are. One of my favorite quotes by C.S. Lewis is “Hardships Often Prepare Ordinary People for an Extraordinary Destiny”. There are a variety of modalities that can be used to connect with people. I look forward to using my skills, experiences, and intuition to help others on this journey we call life.

Thank you for your time and reading my story.
