FAQ's
You probably have some questions, as many people do… Coaching is an investment, and I want you to feel confident that it's right for you. Below are some of the most common questions I'm asked about my services and coaching in general.
How is a coach different than a therapist?
Therapists largely help you make sense of your past in order to better understand and navigate your present. Coaches, on the other hand, focus primarily on helping you make plans and take specific action toward a better future. I'm a big fan of therapy and highly recommend it for absolutely everyone living through these challenging times. Often, coaching is likely to be more effective if you come to it with the kind of self-awareness therapy can help you to develop.
Do I need a coach if I'm also in therapy?
That's up to you! Most of my clients have either participated in therapy in the past and plateaued (it's normal) or are currently participating in therapy while also working with me. Full disclosure: I have had both a therapist and a coach, and they have played completely different, complementary roles in my wellbeing.
Is coaching right for me?
If you are ready to take the next step, from thought to action, then coaching is right for you. Coaching is a action-oriented process designed to help motivated individuals reach greater levels of success and fulfillment. It requires time, energy and dedication, but the rewards are well worth the work you put into yourself.
How will I know if you’re the right coach?
Having the right coach is essential to your success. I offer a 30-minute complimentary coaching consultation to discuss your goals. This is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and see if we click. Choosing a coach is based on logic as well as intuition.
